The truth is the truth simply because it is the truth - scream or whisper, it makes no difference. I wager this is what's meant by the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." In a single, silent, still image, weighty concepts like time, mortality, and memory are rendered just a tad sharper, and the power of photography makes itself known. And that's just one image! We take thousands of pictures everyday, sharing and documenting every passing moment of our lives, inviting the rest of the world to connect to us through photographs. We market our lives through both personal and professional images. And looking through old photos is something many people cherish because it brings them back to a distant time and place, to moments that might have otherwise been forgotten. Photography allows us to time travel. Photography encapsulates, preserves, and captures our lives. When it comes to photography, there are no barriers. Images speak the same language, send the same message, aim for the same goal: Only Connect. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a photograph will long out live any words that can ever be said.
