MY STORY
"Get busy living, or get busy dying."
Videographers play many roles. As producers, directors, cinematographers, audiophiles, and editors, we understand that, whether working on features or shorts, in the studio or on location, independently or as part of a production team, versatility is paramount. Fortunately, with over 10 years of experience at every level of production, this conviction has served me well.
Throughout my career, I've worked beside award-winning creators on a wide array of projects. In 2009, I worked with Academy Award winner Cloris Leachman and Tara Reid on the supernatural thriller, "The Fields.” Later that year, I worked alongside Saturn Award winning actor Robert Patrick and cinematographer Stephen Kazmierski on the modern western, "Good Day For It.” In 2011, I worked on the emotional family drama, "Greencastle.” Since 2013, I’ve partnered with Third Child Productions on multiple award winning independent features, including the paranormal thriller, “Ghosting,” as well as the slow-burn mystery, "A Host of Sparrows."
For over 4 years, I served as the Sr. Videographer for Music & Arts, a multi-million dollar, nationwide, musical instrument retailer. As part of the gig, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with a host of amazing music vendors, including Fender, D'Addario, Pearl, and Yamaha. In addition, I traveled the country filming musicians such as Too Many Zooz, Colbie Caillat, Halestorm, and A Great Big World, as well as artists from The Voice, American Idol, and The Dave Matthew's Band. My video work has been recognized by the Addys, IRCE, and Marcom.
Currently, I serve as Video Producer for Frederick Community College, as well as produce freelance projects for a host of wonderful clients under my company, Edwin Koester Videography. Overall, between my independent, corporate, and freelance projects, my work has amassed over a million views online, has garnered multiple awards, and has been featured on Amazon, iTunes, Netflix, Google Play, Virgin 1, and CNN.
